Over the last month, the overall performance of the Yahoo! Mail service has degraded considerably. I suspect this is due to the extra effort trying to keep up w/ GMail. For instance, about a half dozen times in the last month, I've been unable to sign-in and read my email. I've had to reset my password in order to regain entry. Today, when I try to sign-in, Yahoo! simply hangs. GMail is about to acquire another heavy email user.
It is inevitable. At one point or another in your life, you’ve sent an email to a colleague, client, family member or significant other that’s been highly regrettable. Even before pressing send, you knew it was a bad idea, yet you rolled the dice and clicked anyway, only to cringe at what you wrote later on.
Well, guess what. I did that. I did exactly that. I chose the alternative to download my photos individually. Because there's just no way in hell I want to use any Yahoo service again.
My Yahoo Mail has been overrun by spam. The spam box is full of spam and the inbox is full of spam too.
Yahoo sucks with ferocious intensity. Is anyone finding that the server is down a big fraction of the time? The only hesitation I have about switching to gmail is the sheer nuisance of a new email address after years using this one, so everyone knows this address. Can anyone give a rough idea of how much grief is involved in switching your main address.
I cannot believe that a company in a competitive market could suck so bad. Their customer service is just a big hoax by the way.

I never had much truck with Yahoo, til I started getting hooked on Yahoo! Answers.
Everything was going fine. Until I got a violation notice for answering a question "I have no way of knowing."
So far, no one there can tell me just HOW this merited a violation. And it's a shame, because it wasn't necessary, and it just created bad will. Now I wouldn't use Yahoo! to please a dying grandmother.
Although I cancelled my Yahoo email account, Y!A keeps sending me emails from people in my Y!A network which I cannot respond to. These people are stone idiots.
I just console myself with the thought that these people are probably making minimum wage because their jobs require zero accountability to their public. Seriously, a machine could do the same terrible job and sometimes I think that machines are already doing those jobs!
But I will fish out the Yahoo! Annual report and compile a list of people to contact.

I have had them for YEARS and they have been steadily going down hill. When you have a problem, don't expect answers, you get some canned message that doesn't fit. They do NOT listen to customers and only care about the masses. THIS IS NOT TO MENTION THE CRAZY

As soon as I try to send or receive an e-mail with attachment(s). That is what the send gets in return. What's fucking from with yahoo??? Been using hotmail since they started and gmail since early beta and NOTHING coming close to yhaoo's retardiness....

I hate the "easy" access/ short cut on the yahoo front page showing me what emails I recieved because that's as close to checking my email that I can get. Once i try to click on to view my email. - error!

Today (12/13/2007) I registered for Microsoft Live Hotmail which has an extremely beautiful, sophisticated interface that is very Vista like. It has very few ads and is easily customizable. I decided however, I wanted to stick with my college web-mail service. I (was able to) canceled the account immediately. Then I registered with Yahoo. The interface is ugly, disorderly, and ad-ridden. From the time I tried to cancel my account, it was 5 hours before I could delete the account. I correctly typed the password and the letters and numbers in the box over a hundred times but every-time it said my password or box characters were incorrect. It was a very frustrating ordeal indeed. Yahoo is an extremely aweful email provider.

yahoo is fucken retarded. they deleted a question that i had asked, i went to the community guide lines and terms of service and read nothing indicaing i did anything wrong. I sent them a email asking why my question was deleted. my question was; am i ugly? and thats it, my picture was there for the review. like yah its a dumb question, but im on there for a reason.... im fucken bored. i totally believe they contradict there "guidelines" anyway. the dont want anything that would offend another person, but yet there is people ranting about abortion, immagration and rasicm, and do you think anyone of those questions gets knocked of the boards. by the sounds of the previous comments, im probably not going to get a reasonable explanation for this, but thats ok i dont intend on keeping my gayhoo! account much longer anyways.

Yahoo is nothing but a huge advertising VIRUS. I bought a new Dell PC for home. My smart ass son deciced he had to have a Yahoo E-Mail account like his friends. So now my new Dell is full of Yahoo shit. As for as their mail goes, it sucks too. And yes, they will delete your e-mails for you. PS. Everything Yahoo gets their hands on they fuck it up. My PC came with Dell Music Match which I liked and used daily. It is now Yahoo Music Match and an absolute piece of shit. I deleted the Yahoo Music Match program months ago.

I used Yahoo for domain registration and I renewed my domains at the beginning of the year. Well, yesterday, their outsourced company "Melbourne IT" went and changed all my DNS settings because according to their records (from Yahoo) my domains had expired!! Result: my business is (which is my website) is down. They admitted that they completely screwed up. I corrected the DNS settings and the website eventually came back up. However today, they went and changed the DNS settings again!!! My website is down and the marketing campaing I launched earlier in the week is a complete failure because no one can access my website! Yahoo is a complete disaster and their support is the worst I have ever experienced. I will NEVER do business with them again.
To download attachments, I can't just click "download". It forces me to click "scan and download", which redirects me to another page just to let me know that it's been virus-scanned. Why not just warn only when there is a virus found, and have a single-step download process? This is f'ing ridiculous.
Half the time the "search" feature doesn't even work. Only returns SOME matched messages (if any at all), but not all that I *know* is there. So I dig through manually, through thousands of emails, just to find something. Is this even acceptable for 1998? Nope. 1988? Probably not. 1978? Maybe, but still probably not. Certainly not in 2008. This is f'ing ridiculous beyond all belief.
No threading support? (No, the more-than-half-broken "Beta" version doesn't count, because it's severely slow and broken.) Is that acceptable for 2008? Nope. How about 1998? Nope. 1988, yeah... I'll give you that.

Don't they realise that people choose Yahoo! Mail Classic because THEY LIKE THE WAY IT IS. People who were after the newer features or a different user experience used the Beta instead.
And no matter what you ask of their tech support, they ask you the same retarded questions. "Oh you had an error when searching your mail? What message were you searching for?" My answer: I DON'T F**KING KNOW. I DIDN'T GET ANY SEARCH RESULTS - DID I MENTION THERE WAS AN ERROR MESSAGE??
