I've always hated Bell Canada, because their customer service is ridiculous. I ordered high-speed Internet from them once and before I found the time to connect, they started leaving automated messages threatening to bill me if I did register. My home phone was also disconnected once and they were not able to reconnect it for 4 days.

Nowadays, I'm starting to hate Rogers too! Rogers is my local cable provider and because I hate Bell Canada so much, I've transferred most of my services to Rogers. Basically, we have two monopolies for wired services (cable and phone) and you can pick between the two (no other choices yet). Today, my Internet connection (and cable) was cut. Guess who did it? A Rogers technician. This is the 3rd time in 3 months. This time, when I tried to call their technical support, the phone simply disconnected after one or two rings. It's pretty hard to run a company when the Internet is so unreliable. Last week, I was having trouble with my hosting provider, who didn't understand basic hosting concepts. BTW, my hosting provider is one of the best.

Well I only have  a few months left with Rogers at one time I had everything from them. They double bill and threaten you with collection so you pay in order to maintain your credit rating, but let me tell you they will never come into my home again, once the cell phone is up. They cheat their customers they fudge the bills as much as they can, they tie the hands of their service reps, and sell inferior equipment. NEVER will I deal with such a dishonest company and believe me I spread the word to as many people as possible as much as possible! WORST company and customer service ever. And now that I am really no longer a customer they are sending me "we want you back" mail. HAH! I won't even rent a video at their stores I hope they go out of business and I hope Ted's penis falls off, and he gets gang raped by prison escapees. Rogers home phone I would rather cut my tongue out with a hacksaw then talk on their phones! Buyer beware please read this comments and take them seriously and take your business elsewhere.
OMG Rogers home phone SUCKS.  Voice mail works 50% of the time, who knows if my monitored alarm system is working or not?

The good news is you can switch back to Bell.  Bell will waive to $55 connection fee and you can port your existing phone number back over.
Rogers just Screwd me big time ............there service sucks this is like the 3rd time now with problems... 1st my line got disconected by one of there service guys took 4 days to reccontect... 2nd time they changed account #s on me forgot to send out a letter so i payed the wrong account now once again 3rd time they changed my Account # new accounting system in place i can't place calls out nor recive them goes write to there office 2hrs on hold with them they see the payment i made i have a bill in front saying i owe nothing.. they see it and say i payed the old account my new account number is blah blah blah .. will take a few days to transfer .. your phone should work .. well guess what i'm on hold as i type this ... cause the phone is not working.. there mistake again not mine i pay what the bill says.. i can't wait i'm switchn to a local cable company that has the best support around ...and switchn is free. I HATE ROGERS

Do not get the Rogers DIGITAL home phone service. It sucks Royally!!!

The Digital home phone service was installed in February 2007. The same day the digital box it was installed it did not work for 2 days.

2 weeks after it was installed my phone line went dead. Rogers said to unplug and plug the Digital box and it worked a few hours after that.

The same thing kept on happening over a period of 4 weeks. I have been asking Rogers to take back the Digital box and put me back on the basic cable line for the home phone for the past months. They will NEVER say no that they are not going to do it, but kept on telling  me that the Digital box battery will last for 6 hours.

If the power goes down and the battery goes down after 6 hours how are you to use the phone ????

Rogers have a bunch of MORONS working for them. In addition, they pay their new CSR $9 per hour (the location in Brampton), therefore customers are faced with DING DONGS when trying to get their issues resolved over the phone. I hate ROGERS AND BELL. I don't know which one is worse.

I signed up for Rogers home phone, I wanted dsl too but they could not provide that yet,  They gave me a date my phone would be hooked up, on that day I had no dial tone,I called and three days later I had phone service.  Then I called to get my circuit number, so I could get dsl elsewhere, they could not give me the correct circuit number, it took 2 weeks to get it.  Then I get the bill where they were charging me for the three days I had no service, PLUS for 5 call transfers? made during the three days when I had no service.   I complained, had to talk to three people plus their incredibly stupid, useless answering machine thing.  I got that straightened out just before the next bill came, again trying to charge me for 5 call transfers.  I do not even know what a call transfer is or how they are used  Rogers is a rip off and if that is how teddy boy does buseness he is a goof and a thief

I attempted to make online payment of cable/internet bill with mastercard.Rec'd "declined, Try Again" message.Input mastercard information again, rec'd "declined, try again". Called my cc company/bank, they stated that the 2 attempts did in fact go thru, and were posted as temp authorizations and to contact the Rogers and have them reverse the one. Rogers had no proof that the transaction went thru, as there was never an authorization number provided for either attempt. Today, my account at rogers.com show that in fact, they did charge me for both attempts, 130 CAD each. I did not authorize either payment, as no authorization number was provided, but rather a "declined, try again" message was received. I am now out 260 canadian dollars, and any attempts to discuss with Rogers requires HOURS on the the phone with multiple representatives, who tell me that my BANK is the only one that can reverse this charge. This company STOLE money from me, as their website led me to believe that neither attempt went thru, provided no authorization number, when in fact, I could have continued to attempt to input payment info and they would have happily taken my money.

 Not only did their online bill payment application NOT provide a confirmation number, it in fact provided that my credit card had been DECLINED.  The account was in fact not in arrears, as Rogers claims. Rogers is a reprehensible company, providing substandard service, inaccessible and fraudulent web-based service and access and I have canceled their service permanently. They are guilty of fraud in processing two online payments without authorization numbers provided to the me at the time of transaction and leave me no choice but to have my banking institution dispute the amounts.  The amounts will be reversed, and then they can explain their position to my financial institution.

ADDITIONALLY, for information purposes of the obviously uninformed responder representing Rogers, you can bet I was on the phone immediately. The Customer Svc person stated that there was no evidence that any payment had gone through, no authorization numbers provided for either transaction (of course not, ROGERS' online bill pay provided "DECLINED, TRY AGAIN") The original complaint outlines the entire fiasco.

I will see to it that my experience with Rogers will be broadcast in every business encounter I experience. They are guilty of fraud.

Rogers IVR sucks really bad. Infact, I use to work in the IVR department and they are very incompetent. Especially the director!!!
All of you are incredibly stupid. I am sorry, you cannot get a perfect company. If there was one... everyone would be there. Your are a bunch of cheap bastards that always want promotions and are jealous that newbies get stuff (well take a look at your shit you also had a promo when you signed up). All of you complaning about digitital is because you don't know how to use it ! NO IVR system is good, so stop complaining already you will never find a perfect company, it just don't exist.

I've been with Rogers for over 11 years, my May bill was $150, I callled to complain, I told them I didn't use my phone anymore or less than I normally use and the bill is no more that $50. The CSR said " I see a note to credit you $50" she didn't say why. She advised to keep a closer eye on my phone usage. My June bill is $100 and the same amount of minutes used. I called back to complain that there is no way I used 500 minutes, they mentioned that the phone was in my possession then it is my usage and I have to pay, I asked for the FULL DETAILED BILLING for both months so that I can see for myself which calls I made and which might be in error, but they keep sending me the PARTIAL BILLING which only states the calls that are over your free minutes, I wanted to see how my free minutes were used up, but it has been 2 1/2 months of calling them and still no FULL DETAILED BILLING.

I GUESS I'M SHIT OUT OF LUCK AND PAY THE BILLS, I KNOW THIS FOR SURE, I HAVE 5 MONTHS LEFT ON MY CONTRACT AND THEN I'M TAKING MY NUMBER WITH ME TO ANOTHER PROVIDER.

I  am a rogers wireless pay as you go cell phone customer and I am pissed off at the service this company provides. I'm paying the bill for the damn upgrades for services that I will never use and they won't give me the services that i want.  today I called their 1 888-rogers1 line they transferred me around like a bitch at a gangbang and then after 72 minutes cut me off, when I finally did get through to someone

they told me that the serivice I wanted was not offered.  I pay .40 per min on incoming and outgoing calls: yet I can only view the numbers that I dialed, so Staurday when I was out supposed to meet someone that called me 2 times, was late coming: I went into my phone to look for his number which should have been in my received callers list: the number showed up when I answered the call. but the list was empty, so I called to ask why when I'm paying soo much money for calls even if they are .5 seconds long why can I not see who called me either online or on my cell phone, they told me that service is not offered with my plan pay as you go you must be on a signed plan, but the signed plans also bite, for $20. you get 200 mins if you do not use these mins they do not rollover so you're giving money away.



so I tried to find another plan with the phone that I have a sim card siemens phone, with options that are not available today like making your own ringtone from your fav song, I could find the plans I want but they want me to buy thier phones, which you have to pay TO DOWNLOAD THE RINGTONES THEY OFFER, whatever happened to keeping the customer happy to keep their business.  I am soo frustrated that I'm thinkin' about going back to not have a cell phone.



I want to keep my phone, my number, I do not talk alot, I want call display incoming/outgoing, @ a reasonable price. SO WHY CAN'T I FIND IT!!!

First let me say that I have not been a Rogers customer since 2001.  Bell Expressvu and Bell phone provide far superior service.  I did a credit check with Equifax recently and found that Rogers had filed a collection report on me in December 2006.  This was very interesting since I have not been a Rogers customer for over 6 years.  After calling the collection agency in the report I found that someone with the same name was the reason for the report.  The person Rogers was after was over 23 years younger than me.  I called Rogers to try to fix the problem and got passed around to various departments.  They said they couldn't fix their filing since I didn't have an account number with them.  Duh.  I'm now dealing directly with Equifax to get the problem fixed since Rogers refused to do anything about the problem they created.  This was not the first time that Rogers had confused me with someone else.  When I was living in Brampton, someone in Etobicoke with my same name moved and I arrived home one day to find that they had disconnected my cable.  It took months to straighten out the problem since they kept trying to charge me for a disconnect and reconnect at the same address.  Rogers is the worst company in Canada.  I received a call today from Rogers asking me to subscribe to Rogers phone.  When I told the person what I thought of Rogers, he hung up on me.  Never get involved with Rogers unless you want high prices and lousy service.
Rogers sucks, so does Bell. Who else are we going to choose?  After all they all  suck.

Well I would say I'm a fairly good consumer and managed to squeeze out a good plan (Forced them to match a Bell corporate plan, that was almost too good to be true)  from Rogers after I signed up about 2 or 3 years ago. the rogers Customer Relations Department ( The department that deals with cancellation threats and tougher customers) is the one I get sent to every time I try to solve a dispute with rogers. I am constantly being lied to by both the customer service rep's and the Cust Relations reps, It is becoming ridiculous I have so many different story's being told to me by the representatives that I am beginning to wonder if they are not all mentally challenged or simply pathological liars. I am even being given false information by the Rogers dealers, who are so damn clueless. What is really grating on my nerves is the the fact that my cell phone has not worked properly for six months, either by the network (which they claim to be the best in the country) or cheap Motorola Hardware (the slvr). The fact is that I have been given numerous promises from different customer service rep's that have been lies I am about ready to simply cancel my cell phone and transfer it to telus or even Bell (even with the horror stories on this blog I doubt they could be worse then Rogers). One word of advice for all the rogers customers out there beware faulty billing and make sure you tell the rep's to note everything down.  I HAVE FUCKING HAD IT WITH THIS COMPANY,. HOPE THEY BURN IN HELL. THE DAMN SERVICE HAS DEGENERATED SO MUCH THAT I AM ABOUT TO SNAP.
I havn't had any problems yet with Rogers with either cable or internet (New home, been here only 3 months). I had everything with bell before but they are the most disorganized messed up company in Canada.

I cancelled everything with Bell under my business account 5 months ago. I just received a telephone bill under my business name for over $1500! The phone number isn't mine but they've plugged in all of my info in to the account. I spent 82minutes (phone tells me this) on the phone with support going through 4 different people until they finally realized its wrong. The phone number on the bill was pointed to my town's police station not my old address, morons (I told them this 2min into the conversation after using 411, but they spent 80min to figure it out).

When I was with bell I purchased the 'business bundle package'... nice 'package' - they sent me a seperate bill for every service. I got 4 bills / month on a bundled package. What jokers. Enough with these shitheads, Bell can kiss my ass goodbye.
It's funny how almost everyone hates rogers. I HATE THEM SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH, I have many stories but I'll make it short, they charge extra, customer service sucks, and they lie and lie and even sometimes lie. But the thing is it's the only company which provides something the rest is crap it's hard to find a good company in Canada.
You don't need to watch TV and pay for cable anymore

You can watch a lot of shows for FREE via the Internet -- alot of channels post their shows online nowadays.

So you can cancel your cable bill and just pay for internet.

I sent in a ticket Monday at 9am. It was closed 13 minutes later. I called the next day to find out what's going on. They told me the ticket was closed, even though the problem was not resolved. WHY DIDN'T THEY FUCKEN CALL ME????????????????????

I laugh at everyone. If I could blow up Rogers, I would in a heart beat. Screw 911, I'll be the terrorist to Rogers. I'm leaving their sorry lame asses tomorrow. Did you know that they will Charge you 23% for taxes on one bill? Shit I didn't know that was legal. I didn't bother paying my bill for December, so obviously they showed me on my recent bill as to how much your new balance due is. But has anyone ever did the math on these bills? I just noticed they charged me for December (PST & GST) then took this total amount and added it to my new bill and charged me again the PST & GST for December's bill on January's bill again. I started to do the math. Even their computer system must be stupid. The math don't work out. I love how the CSR's tell you on the phone that you should get a better paying job. Or when you phone for a problem, you can be talking to 10 different people and no one has the same answer. They come to the apartment building I live in, cut off the lock to the cable box (meanwhile their box is on the outside) and start cutting off peoples cable and internet. My b/f phoned and told them to send someone the next day. They did. I have to say the tech was cool, he started to cut all the cable wires where this other idiot tech came in and screwing around with cables. Replaced them all, it didn't matter to him who was paying for cable and who wasn't. We have an on going battle with them right now. They have extended my cell phone contract without telling me. Shortened the other and are telling me that bundling is a contract. They charged me for cable for over a year, which we had been telling them 24x in a year that we want our money. They screw up crediting us, then tell us we have to pay them more cause they over credited us. Man we must phone 10x a month to bitch about everything to them cause they suck so bad. In the beginning I hated bell so damn much for all the crap. But to be honest with you, I have more problems with Rogers then I ever had with Bell. I get a kick out of listening to my b/f bullshit them about this and that and in the end, we all still get ripped off. But at the same time we are doing our share for the past couple of years for ripping them off. Now in the end they want me to pay them $400 to cancel both contracts for the cells. Before they can suspend my service, I'm switching tomorrow, cutting them off, and taking their asses to court for more bullshit. I think if anything, TED ROGERS should be paying his Customers to spending our lives on hold , bitching and getting no where, but ripped off from His Dinosaur ass. As we all seem to be spending time on the phone with them. This should be our jobs and they should be paying all of us.

Just cancelled my service and man it feels great.
I endured 6 months of incorrect billing, every bill cycle had to call in to correct it.  shitty service and attitude from reps too arrogant to read tech notes on  my account. Run as fast as you can from these arrogant money grubbing scum

After a year and a half with Rogers & their Bull**it, it's finally GOOD BYE!!

When I first signed up they had advertised no installation fees, my first bill was $108 & had the installation fee & other fees, by the time I got off the phone, my bill was $38!

After a year was "credited" for the so-called "System Access Fee" and what do ya know 2 months after that,  it appeared again! So I called & all they can tell me about it is that all customers pay it. I'd like to know exactly what the "System Access Fee" is? I told them I was credited for paying it, after all it was someone from Rogers who pointed out that I should not have been paying it in the first place!

Their latest thing has been disconnecting me (even after paying) then reconnecting me, but of course with a fee! The last 2 times they did it I was told that my phone was working or they had done it by "mistake" and them I'm told I still have to pay the reconnection fee!! I DON"T THINK SO! The reconnection fees to date are at almost $200! I had told them I'd pay it by February 1st, then guess what? February 1st they cut my service again!!! That was the last straw! I called them told them I paid the $200, they reconnected me...But, what I did was arranged with another company to have a 3 bundle service (cable, internet & phone) So, by the time Rogers realizes I haven't paid the $200, I will have service with another company!!

They will never see that $200 from me!

Rogers is the biggest scam monoplist. I am wondering how come Rogers got skyDome and has access to market without competition. Their service is crap - 7 incorrect bills out of 8. The charges are huge - someone is supporting this monopoly.  Their chargers for cell phone which are not in line with their systems are high !!!!  Service is lengthy - you need to wait for hours - lack of respect to peoples time.
