I've been playing online poker for two years now. I've been jumping from one poker room to another as I get fed up with the obviously problems with each. The biggest problem I come down to, is that the hands are stacked. I'm not saying that anybody has an advantage, I don't know that, but I have determined that every poker room has basic flaws. I keep track of how often pocket Aces are dealt, how often poket pairs are dealt, how often draws are hit and in almost every situation, the numbers are implausible. Pocket aces are hit in 1 in every 5 to 10 hands, where in real poker, the number should be closer to 1 in 25 hands, assuming 9 players. Even draws hit twice as often as they should and more. I understand that they do this in order to encourage players, but I just want to play real poker. Not this fake poker. Does anybody know of an online poker room that isn't fake?
Beyond the card dealing problems, I've noticed several other problems that exist in many online poker rooms. Sometimes, you can't fold, when realistically you should always be able to fold. Sometimes, when you muck a hand, other players can still uncover your cards in the hand history. Sometimes, when one player is all-in, you cannot raise. I've never played any online poker room that doesn't have one of these flaws. I'm amazed that someone hasn't come around that actually implements the basic rules of poker successfully.
This number applies to every player on the table (it applies to any specific pocket pair). In fact the hands that we do get dealt are probably MORE random than those you get if you play with your friends who are not world class shufflers (if there is such a thing).
As for the other points (bar one) you make I cannot say that I have never had any of them occur to me or anyone I know. The one exception is if you go to showdown at party poker and your opponent mucks his cards you can in fact find out what he/she had (as you are entitled to do in real life games [poker etiquette aside]) ).
