Time has named the iPhone Invention of the Year. Just one problem, Apple didn't invent anything new with the iPhone. I had a touch screen handheld about 10 years ago. My phone can play music, videos, take pictures, surf the Internet. Just what did Apple invent? It's the unique way they stuck letter I in front of Phone, put their Apple brand name on it and charged twice the price for something that was already available. It's like the iPod all over again. Nobody wants a phone that takes pictures and surfs the Internet. Rather, they want an iPhone. Send this award to Apple's marketing department, not R&D.

As a gadget that has been designed well, yes. As a innovations prodcut - yeah just where is that something 'new' ??
